David currently serves as Fire Chief for the City of Gunter.
As a Gunter Volunteer Fire Department member since 2001, David has over 20 years of experience with fire safety, protection, and prevention. His training and certifications include applicable environmental codes, firefighting techniques, and police procedures. He also has extensive experience in wildland and structural fire extinguishment, vehicle extractions, fire investigations, and fire prevention.
David graduated from Emergency Medical Training Service for Basic EMT in May 2000; the North Texas Training Academy in November 2003; the DFW Training Center, Aircraft Rescue Firefighting school in May 2006; and the Texoma Regional Police Academy in July 2013.
David has received numerous awards and honors throughout his career, most recently the Instructors Award from the Texoma Regional Police Academy in July 2013. David proudly serves the City of Gunter and its citizens.
