Connie Eubanks

Mayor & City Council
Title: Council Member, Place 5
Connie Eubanks

Connie Eubanks was born and raised in the Piney Woods of East Texas and has always been a country girl. In 2014, she and Bruce, her husband of over 37 years, purchased a densely wooded property in Gunter. They spent endless hours selectively clearing timber and brush in anticipation of building their forever country home.

After Connie had lived in Gunter for almost two years, in November 2002, Gunter citizens elected her to the City Council. While excited about responsible growth in Gunter, she is devoted to protecting Gunter's rural, small-town charm, and to the city controlling its own destiny.

Connie graduated from The University of Texas at Tyler with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education. She has chaired the Development Review Board from 2019 to the present and is co-founder of Gunter Growth. Since 2002, Connie has been Alumni Hall Fitness Center Manager at Collin College's Frisco Campus Alumni Hall and teaches wellness and self-defense classes at the facility.

With a Master Gardner Certification from Texas A and M's Ag Extension Program, Connie has continued various landscaping and gardening projects since moving into her new home.

Connie and Bruce are proud parents of Hal and Jessica Eubanks, who live in Dallas.
